Meet our teachers here at the Academy

 

Tamara Lisak RAD PDTD RTS Silver Swans Licensed Teacher and qualified PBT instructor, Principal

Tamara started dancing at the age of 3 1/2. At the age of 12, she was accepted at the Arts Educational School, Tring to study Ballet full time for 4 years. She continued her full time studies at The London Studio Centre for a further 3 years and on graduating was accepted in to London City Ballet Company before joining the National Ballet of Portugal several years later performing many soloist roles.After 3 years, she joined Wiener Ballet Theatre touring around Europe before joining Staedtische Theatre Chemnitz as a principal dancer.

She started her teaching career in 2000 in Berlin, Germany before being accepted on to the prestigious Professional Dancers Teaching Diploma at the Royal Academy of Dance, gaining a Distinction. She continued to teach children in Berlin, coached a German Rhythmic Gymnastics team as well as working as a Ballet Mistress for a Berlin based Dance Company.

After moving back to London she continued her teaching at the Royal Academy of Dance Headquarters training 3rd Year Graduates, children and adults while conducting children’s workshops and providing private tuition as well as teaching in several private schools and nurseries. She has entered many children for Royal Academy of Dance examinations since 2005.

She has also taught on many Royal Academy of Dance Summer and Easter schools at home and abroad. Tamara’s goals are to provide a nurturing environment for children, creating a joy of dance and music and to instill confidence and a sense of achievement in every individual.

In 2009, Tamara founded North London Ballet Academy, teaching children from 2 and a half years to adults.

In 2017, Tamara completed the Silver Swans Licensing Program and became part of the Pilot year. The first Silver Swans class was a launched in September 2017 and is very popular.

In 2018, Tamara qualified to teach Progressing Ballet Technique and started the first class in September 2018.
